WE ARE NOT CLOSING

AGM NOTES

At the agm on 14th April 2018 the Treasurer was able to say that we had made a small profit after payment of bills and as a result he recommended that there should be no change in out current prices. He also stated that the  attendance over the year had been: members 917, visitors 229, committee 165 making a total of 1311 and an average of 57 attendees per event. The club membership stood at 107 members.

The club Secretary commented that it had been a very good year with BBQs and a beach day thrown in.  He commented on the enthusiasm and friendliness of the Club members.

It was noted that the management of the Liesure Complex had changed hands and several physical changes had been made to the foyer to reflect this.  Whilst it is possible that the hire fees may be increased we have not been notified of a change so far.

RUMOUR CONTROL

Since the swim on 14th April we have received notice that the rumour mongers are spreading stories of the Club folding.  This is not so and the rumours are just that, rumours, and as such can be ignored.  We pay a hire charge of over £6k per year and it does not seem likely that the new management will want to shut us down.
