Sleaford Swim was started by a group of naturists in the Autumn of 1988, meeting at Sleaford Leisure Centre, Eastbanks, Sleaford.

At first the group met every three weeks, on a Saturday, then after a couple of years changed to two weekly intervals in the winter and three weekly in the summer. However, in the late ‘90s the committee decided to standardise the meeting times as every 2nd and 4th Saturday in the month and this arrangement continues to this day.
At Sleaford we welcome all Naturists and people interested in trying Naturism for the first time. We pride ourselves on our reputation for being a very friendly club and visitors are always welcome to attend our events

However, the facilities at Sleaford Leisure Centre are well overdue for upgrading and moved are currently afoot to make this happen.

The purpose of this blog is to inform Club Members and other interested parties of progress and arrangements for the continuation of the Club whilst the work is being carried out.

THE FIRST NEWS

Last Wednesday, 8 Feb 12, Malcolm and Mansell attended a meeting at Sleaford  where we were briefed on progress to date and the future plans for the Centre.  An artist's impression of the new facility was provided and this in on display on the Club notice board. The project is exciting and the eventual results look very promising.  Most importantly the  authorities are keen to listen to the users and take note of their views, this was the reason for the meeting.

This blog will be updated periodically as your committee get to know the details.  For now the important dates:  Work to start in January 2013 and the Centre is planned to reopen in January 2014.  Negotiations are going on with other pools to accommodate the user clubs and groups, such as ours, during the down time.
