We are NOT swingers

It has come to our notice that a Chris Penn has published a load of guff suggesting sexual activity at our meets on a social media channel.  We are happy to take the opportunity to completely refute this character's allegations.

There is no record of anybody by that name ever attending any of our swims so whatever he wrote cannot have been based on facts because he simply doesn't know what we do.  The problem is that people reading his tripe don't know either so they might think it is true and indeed some of the posted comments indicate this misconception.

This guy got his information on the dates from a public page on a site hosted by Naturist Corner.  We have checked with the site owners and he is not a member of that organisation either.  However, the page listing naturist swims is open to the public and we do advertise our events on that page and will continue to do so.  In order to prevent any future misunderstanding we have altered our writeup to read:- ( the amended text is in the pink colour)

"WARNING Sleaford Swim is a genuine naturist organisation; we do not agree with “swinging” and no sexual activity takes place at our meetings.  If you are looking to “hook up” then we are sorry but you must look elsewhere

Changes At Sleaford Swim

At the agm on 8th April 2017 the Club was under the Chairmanship ot Rob for the first time, following the resignation of our previous and long time Chair, Mansell.  Mansell was forced to retire from the chair following the medical diagnosis  of his wife, Dee.  We wish both of them all the best for the future.

The Treasurer, Malcolm, was able to show that the Club was in a very healthy state and had made a small profit over the year 2016.  As a result he was able to propose that no changes to our charges were needed.  Members and our visitors can enjoy another year at the same low prices.  Malcolm has been our treasurer for many years and is content to carry on with the work.

Another change on the Committee is that of the Secretary.  Rob who was the Secretary has now moved up to the Chair and his place will be taken by David and Tara as joint Secs.

At a subsequent meeting of the Committee the Costume Optional evenings was discussed.  Currently the programme gives 3 evenings as CO1 (costume optional for the first hour) and 2 CO2 (costume optional for the whole evening).  The committee has decided that there is little point in having the two types of CO sessions and in future all costume optional sessions will be for the whole evening.  This probably makes Sleaford Swim unique in allowing costumes to be worn by first timers on 5 sessions through the year.  See the previous post for the dates.

A note for folk wanting to visit the Swim.  The people you see in the foyer, welcoming you, booking you in and showing you round, are unpaid volunteer committee members and they wish to enjoy the facilities just like everybody else.  Please do not arrive late and expect to be allowed admittance.  Doors are open between 7.30 pm and 8.00 pm, if you cannot make it in that time we are very sorry but you will not be allowed in.
